Coach Wulan
Boxing and fitness coach, Jakarta
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Jakarta Swimming Club
- 1978 to 1997
- English, Indonesian
For 19 years I ran the boxing program at Jakarta Swimming Club in Jakarta. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you played for me, you probably remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
What gifts mean to Coach Wulan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
