Coach Willow
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇦🇺 Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia
- Westbrook Youth Club
- 1982 to 1998
- English
For 16 years I ran the rowing program at Westbrook Youth Club in Wollongong. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Coach Willow
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Willow: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.

you coached me in 2020. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Sydney.
