Coach Wekesa
Netball and fitness coach, Thika
- 🇰🇪 Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
- Thika Riverside Sports Club
- 1988 to 2025
- English
I coached netball at Thika Riverside Sports Club from 1988 to 2025. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Wekesa: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
