Coach Wegayehu
Youth football coach and mentor
- 🇪🇹 Adama, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Adama Meadowbank Athletic Club
- Since 1996
- English, Spanish
I've coached football at Adama Meadowbank Athletic Club since 1996. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Coach Wegayehu
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Wegayehu: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
