Coach Waylon
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 San Antonio, Texas, United States
- San Antonio Harbor Boxing Gym
- 2003 to 2020
- English
I coached rowing at San Antonio Harbor Boxing Gym from 2003 to 2020. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Waylon
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
