I coached rugby at Cedar Grove Community Club from 2005 to 2020. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
What gifts mean to Coach Valentina: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
