Coach Upendo
Hockey and fitness coach, Embakasi
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Embakasi Mount Pleasant Swimming Club
- 1998 to 2014
- English, Swahili
For 16 years I ran the hockey program at Embakasi Mount Pleasant Swimming Club in Embakasi. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Upendo
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Upendo: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
