Coach Upendo

Youth boxing coach and mentor

  • 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
  • Since 1984
  • English, Swahili
For 42 years I've run the boxing program at Crescent Community Club in Zanzibar City. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather. My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.

What gifts mean to Coach Upendo: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
