Coach Upendo
Rowing coach, Riverside Swimming Club
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Riverside Swimming Club
- Since 1999
- English, Swahili
For 27 years I've run the rowing program at Riverside Swimming Club in Embakasi. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Coach Upendo
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Upendo: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
