Coach Unathi
Gymnastics and fitness coach, Pietermaritzburg
- 🇿🇦 Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
- Pietermaritzburg Swimming Club
- Since 1992
- English, Afrikaans
I've coached gymnastics at Pietermaritzburg Swimming Club since 1992. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Unathi
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Unathi: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2013. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from New Delhi.
