I coached hockey at Hồ Chí Minh City Community Club from 1998 to 2013. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Coach Trinh
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Trinh: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
