Coach Tiago
Swimming coach, Rio de Janeiro Athletic Club
- 🇧🇷 Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Since 1988
- Portuguese
For 38 years I've run the swimming program at Rio de Janeiro Athletic Club in Rio de Janeiro. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Coach Tiago: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
