Coach Thijs
Table tennis and fitness coach, Amsterdam
- 🇳🇱 Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
- Amsterdam Sports Club
- 1989 to 2025
- Dutch
I coached table tennis at Amsterdam Sports Club from 1989 to 2025. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Thijs
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Thijs: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
