Coach Tharushi
Rugby coach, Colombo Football Club
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Football Club
- 2008 to 2022
- English, Sinhala
I coached rugby at Colombo Football Club from 2008 to 2022. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Tharushi
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Tharushi: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
