I coached table tennis at Parkside Athletic Club from 1992 to 2023. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.

What gifts mean to Coach Thanh: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the long bus ride home. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Jimma.
