I coached badminton at Johannesburg Swimming Club from 1979 to 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
