Coach Susana
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇲🇽 Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico
- Coatzacoalcos Kilimanjaro Youth Club
- Since 1988
- English, Spanish
I've coached chess at Coatzacoalcos Kilimanjaro Youth Club since 1988. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Susana
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Susana: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
