Coach Suranga
Basketball coach, Kandy Athletic Club
- 🇱🇰 Kandy, Central, Sri Lanka
- Since 1985
- English, Spanish
For 41 years I've run the basketball program at Kandy Athletic Club in Kandy. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Coach Suranga
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Suranga: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
