I coached tennis at Queensway Community Club from 1981 to 1990. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
What gifts mean to Coach Sowmya: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
