Coach Simiyu
Youth softball coach and mentor
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Nairobi Youth Club
- 2014 to 2022
- English, Swahili, French
For eight years I ran the softball program at Nairobi Youth Club in Nairobi. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
What gifts mean to Coach Simiyu: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Best summer of my life Greetings from Rohini.
