Coach Silvia
Youth tennis coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Yonkers, New York, United States
- 2010 to 2021
- English, Spanish
For eleven years I ran the tennis program at Yonkers Frangipani Sports Club in Yonkers. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Coach Silvia
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Silvia: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
