Coach Samuel
Youth basketball coach and mentor
- 🇪🇹 Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Bahir Dar Swimming Club
- 1992 to 2022
- English, Amharic
For 30 years I ran the basketball program at Bahir Dar Swimming Club in Bahir Dar. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Samuel
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Samuel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
