Coach Samanthi
Hockey and fitness coach, Galle
- 🇱🇰 Galle, Southern, Sri Lanka
- Trinity Sports Club
- Since 2001
- English, Sinhala
I've coached hockey at Trinity Sports Club since 2001. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
More about Coach Samanthi
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Samanthi: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

you coached me in 2021. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Aberdeen.

I still think about the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Gliwice.
