Coach Ruth
Wrestling and fitness coach, Dar es Salaam
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Lotus Boxing Gym
- 1983 to 2008
- English
I coached wrestling at Lotus Boxing Gym from 1983 to 2008. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Coach Ruth
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Ruth: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
