I've coached cycling at Addis Ababa St. Mary's Boxing Gym since 2012. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Coach Ruth: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
