Coach Ruth
Coached football for 45 years in Addis Ababa
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Hillcrest Sports Club
- Since 1981
- English, Amharic
For 45 years I've run the football program at Hillcrest Sports Club in Addis Ababa. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Ruth
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Ruth: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
