For 32 years I ran the netball program at Riverside Boxing Gym in Ciudad de México. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
More about Coach Rubén
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Rubén: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
