I coached martial arts at Enugu Rosewood Boxing Gym from 1981 to 2006. Most of my players were between 8 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
