I coached chess at Butwal Sports Club from 2002 to 2011. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Coach Rojina: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
