- 1984 to 2014

I coached tennis at Ubud Swimming Club from 1984 to 2014. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
