Coach Rashid
Chess and fitness coach, East London

- English, Afrikaans
I've coached chess at Westbrook Youth Club since 2011. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Coach Rashid
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Rashid: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the cold winter when we all kept our coats on. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Ankara.
