I coached chess at Rajshahi Kilimanjaro Sports Club from 2006 to 2025. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
What gifts mean to Coach Popy: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.

I still think about the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Best summer of my life! Greetings from Coventry.

You coached me in 2011. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Guarulhos.
