I'm a baseball coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 510 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Coach Perla
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Perla: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
