Coach Patrick
Coached chess for nine years in Madina
- 🇬🇭 Madina, Greater Accra, Ghana
- Madina Athletic Club
- 1989 to 1998
- English
For nine years I ran the chess program at Madina Athletic Club in Madina. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
More about Coach Patrick
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Patrick: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
