I coached athletics at Mumbai Hope Swimming Club from 1992 to 2002. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
More about Coach Pankaj
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Pankaj: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
