Coach Owen
Coached rowing for 22 years in Manukau
- 🇳🇿 Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand
- Manukau Atlas Community Club
- 1996 to 2018
- English
I coached rowing at Manukau Atlas Community Club from 1996 to 2018. Most of my players were between 8 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
More about Coach Owen
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Owen: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2011. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Stellenbosch.
