Coach Ouma
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya
- Likoni Unity Youth Club
- Since 1988
- English, Swahili
For 38 years I've run the chess program at Likoni Unity Youth Club in Likoni. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
