Coach Otieno

Coached basketball for 37 years in Dar es Salaam

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Northside Youth Club
  • Since 1989
  • English, Swahili
I'm a basketball coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 1,960 kids fall in love with the game. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Coach Otieno: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
