Coach Obiageli
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Athletic Club
- 1992 to 2006
- English, Igbo
For 14 years I ran the chess program at Lagos Athletic Club in Lagos. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir.
More about Coach Obiageli
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Obiageli: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
