I've coached wrestling at Siliguri Stonebridge Swimming Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Naveen: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
