Coach Mutua
Youth wrestling coach and mentor
- 🇰🇪 Eldoret, Uasin Gishu, Kenya
- Rosewood Youth Club
- Since 1994
- English
I've coached wrestling at Rosewood Youth Club since 1994. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Coach Mutua
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Mutua: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
