Coach Miguel
Chess coach, Chicago Athletic Club
- 🇺🇸 Chicago, Illinois, United States
- Since 1981
- English, Spanish
For 45 years I've run the chess program at Chicago Athletic Club in Chicago. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Coach Miguel
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Miguel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
