Coach Mia
Wrestling coach, Beacon Athletic Club
- 🇩🇪 Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany
- Beacon Athletic Club
- 1998 to 2015
- German, English
For 17 years I ran the wrestling program at Beacon Athletic Club in Regensburg. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Coach Mia
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Mia: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
