Coach Megan
Softball and fitness coach, Pietermaritzburg

- Pietermaritzburg Sports Club
- 1991 to 2018

I coached softball at Pietermaritzburg Sports Club from 1991 to 2018. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.

If you played for me, you probably remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
What gifts mean to Coach Megan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

you coached me in 1993. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Manila.
