I coached swimming at Moscow Boxing Gym from 2002 to 2024. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Coach Maxim: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
