Coach Mateus
Youth martial arts coach and mentor
- 🇧🇷 Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil
- Gateway Community Club
- 1988 to 2003
- Portuguese
I coached martial arts at Gateway Community Club from 1988 to 2003. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm learning the guitar.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Mateus: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
