Coach Mariko
Youth basketball coach and mentor
- 🇯🇵 Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Japan
- Fukuoka Sports Club
- Since 2002
- Japanese
For 24 years I've run the basketball program at Fukuoka Sports Club in Fukuoka. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm learning the guitar.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Mariko: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
