I coached cross country at São Paulo Our Lady of Peace Youth Club from 1988 to 2019. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.

What gifts mean to Coach Marcos: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
