Coach Maina

Softball coach, Dar es Salaam Athletic Club

I've coached softball at Dar es Salaam Athletic Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.

More about Coach Maina

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
