Coach Lúcia
Youth basketball coach and mentor
- 🇧🇷 Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
- Porto Alegre Windsor Athletic Club
- 1992 to 2012
- Portuguese
I coached basketball at Porto Alegre Windsor Athletic Club from 1992 to 2012. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Lúcia
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Lúcia: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
